It is such a beautiful evening outside, we decided to go out in our yard and enjoy it. Stefan enjoyed playing in the grass while Mommy and Daddy played frisbee. It was pretty funny watching his head go back and forth as he tried to keep up with the moving frisbee! As you can see, he got a little taste of the grass too! Don't worry, we didn't let him swallow it! Can you believe, our little guy is now 7 months old! Wow--time flies!
As you can see, Stefan's prize tool has broken. All the gnawing and chewing has had its toll on the screwdriver. Have no fear, he still won't let it go! Maybe Mommy will put her sewing skills to use to fix it.
Stefan enjoys standing up at the window and looking out. Especially when it is raining like today. Hmm...I think now that he can pull himself up at the doors and windows I am going to have to be doing a lot more cleaning! Hopefully this will also give you an idea about how tall he is. I have been wanting to get a picture that would show that. This one should give you a pretty good idea.
I am keeping busy with an average of 25 K4-K5 year olds! Needless to say, I'm not bored! Brian has around 30 in his 4th-6th grade class. Stefan keeps everyone happy with his constant smiles.
We had another full day of VBS this morning with attendance staying high (around 80). Sorry, no pics of Johanna or Stefan yet. We'll take care of that tomorrow.
Vacation Bible School is in full swing. We started yesterday with 76 children attending. It is keeping us very busy this week, but will try to post more pictures of us later! That is a little hard as both Brian and I are teaching classes. Stefan is enjoying his time in the nursery.
Here's a glimpse of Stefan with two of his favorite activities: playing with his screwdriver and feeling that nice, cool draft coming out of the register (an ideal location for the mid 90's weather we've been having).
Since Stefan has reached the weight limit of his infant carseat we had to purchase a new one this week. Stefan enjoyed playing with it and sitting in it before we installed it in the car.
Pastor & Mrs. Beals, Sr. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary yesterday. We had a celebration for them at their home on Saturday night. They have been very kind and have taken Stefan in as one of their "grandchildren." We also had a reception after church on Sunday night but we didn't have our camera so didn't get pictures.
Stefan always did like bathtime, but now that he can do more it is especially fun. Splashing around and playing with toys always comes first now--then the washing part! Notice his tan? I didn't even realize that was happening! I'll have to put him outside with no shirt:-)
We had a nice relaxing day at home before heading out for a late afternoon picnic at Pastor John and Robin's house. We enjoyed visiting (and eating!) with several church families. We then headed out with two other families (Peter and Sarah and the Johnson's) to watch fireworks on Plymouth Bay. It was a true 4th celebration. It was enjoyable to smell the salt air from the ocean and watch the fireworks in one of America's first towns. It was a good time of fun and fellowship. As you can see, the fireworks put Stefan right to sleep. Oh well...maybe he'll be a little more interested in them next year!
After the wedding we had a nice dinner at U. Steve and A. Donna's. Who was there: Grandma, U. Steve & A. Donna, Amy B., Josh & Amber, Ben & Beka, U. Paul & A. Theresa, A. Ruth, Vanessa, Donna Ruth, Tim, Ruth, Micaiah & Miriam, and us.
