Yesterday we were kicked out of our apartment for the day! When we moved in, there was a bad smell of smoke. After a couple of other tries, the management decided to do a treatment with an ozone machine. Basically the machine sucked out all the air (and hopefully the bad smell!). We had to vacate the apartment during the process and wait for it to fill back up with oxygen. Stefan and I went shopping, shopping and more shopping to fill the time. I was looking for some lamps for our house but only found one for Stefan's room. Oh well, maybe I'll find more later. The living room and bedrooms do not have overhead lights so we need lamps. Brian met us at IKEA and we had a cheap lunch there and then roamed through the store. When Brian went back to work I went to our old house to do some final cleaning while Stefan took his nap in the pack-n-play. We had a good day, but we were glad to be able to come back in our home. As to the smell, we think it is much better. We will know better after a couple of days and see if it is really gone!

awww. we had an Ikea date this week, too. Can't beat the price! Sorry you couldn't find lamps.
BTW, how many hot dogs did Brian eat?
Did you check Walmart for lamps?? They have some cute ones for a reasonable price, or Christmas Tree Shops.
As much as I hate shopping, I would have enjoyed doing it with you. Unfortunately, I was stuck with some 35 students!

BTW, I wanna know if you've seen snow yet? We got to see a little as we drove through the Smokies this evening.
