a whole new world

Now that Stefan can crawl he is finding lots of new "toys." The clank of the drawer handles are especially alluring, and apparently they taste good too. Yum, yum!

A real crawl...

It's hard work and breaks are necessary, but we're well on our way--especially when there is something as tempting as a glass of ice cold water!

Chatham, MA

Fun family outing! We went to Cape Cod yesterday for our first time. We visited the quaint town of Chatham located on the easternmost corner of the Cape. We enjoyed strolling down Main Street, visiting the small shops, eating a picnic lunch, and exploring the beach.

Stefan loved the sand. He even tried to eat some of it!

"Daddy's home!"

Stefan is always happy to see Daddy come home from church at the end of the day, but lately he has been greeting him with extra enthusiasm. He always has grins, giggles, and squeals the second he sees his Daddy's face in the driveway. Of course, you know how that makes Daddy feel! Anyway, here are some pictures of yesterday's play time right after Daddy came home. As you can see, they both enjoy it equally!

John Wesley was born 305 years ago on this date (there is some debate whether his birth date was the 17th or the 28th of June) in 1703. Though I do not subscribe to all his theological positions, I admire his zeal for Christ and his earnestness for souls. May God give us more men like John Wesley.

"Chase the Toy"

Stefan was playing this little game for about five minutes when it finally dawned on me that I should be video taping! The only time I helped him was when the toy went underneath the ottoman. He chased the toy all around the living room for over 15 minutes! A persistent little boy--and getting mobile too!

I Love my Daddy

Stefan thinks his Daddy is the BEST in the world...(and so does his Mommy!) We enjoyed celebrating yet another "first."

1st time in the pool!

Stefan loved playing in the pool this morning. He tried to crawl, rolled over, put his face in the water, and splashed around. Definitely a water boy! Don't worry, Mommy was close by so he was safe! Tim and Ruth, thanks for the pool. I think he is going to love it this summer.

Final evening together

We had a good last evening with Mom and Dad last night. Stefan appropriately showered them with smiles and laughs. Now they are off to see Great Grandpa and Grandma Hanson. Wish we could jump in the car with them to see the family as well.

A Day in Plymouth

Today we took my parents to Plymouth to give them a brief tour of the town. It was a beautiful, hot day of ninety degrees. We had a picnic at the park and did some walking along Plymouth Bay.
