New England Snowstorm

We are currently getting blanketed with snow up here in Mass. We already have about 6 inches on the ground with another 2-3 inches predicted to fall tonight. I thought I would step outside and take some pics of what it looks like from our backyard and frontyard.

What can brown do for you?

Today I started back at UPS. We are thankful that the Lord allowed me to transfer from the Greenville plant to the Brockton plant. It is quite different here. A much larger facility, but extremely efficient. In case some were wondering, I am working part time at Immanuel Baptist and UPS is my second job. Back to the early mornings!

A Full Pantry!

Thanks to our new church family, our pantry cupboard is full! We're so grateful for all the food and cleaning items the church people gave us. It was a huge blessing, and I don't think I'll need to do much shopping for awhile! Thank you, IBC!

Our New Church

As we've been settling down in our new home, we have commenced our ministry in our new church in Brockton, Immanuel Baptist Church. We don't have any pictures yet, but we'll post some in the near future. With an average Sunday morning attendance of 180, IBC is the largest independent Baptist church in the Boston metropolitan area. It is also one of a handful of fundamental, Bible-preaching churches in the area. For more information and some pictures of the church, click here or under "Links" to access our church's webpage.

Moving In!

We're finally here in Massachusetts! We both arrived here (on separate trips!) last Wednesday and moved into our house on Thursday. As you can see from the pictures, it snowed on the day we moved in. Our new church family at Immanuel Baptist Church was a huge help in sending about 20 people to help us unload our truck. It is good to be here and to be settling in. We still have a ways to go, but are making good progress.

Saying Goodbye

Saying goodbye is not easy. We are definitely going to miss our family. These are pictures of our last Sunday. We were overwhelmed by the love and kindness shown to us by our church family. Brian preached for our last service, we were both able to give testimonies, and Amy and I sang. It was a special service, and the tears were flowing. We are going to miss everyone here so much, but are thankful for the Lord's leading us to MA.

The Big Move!

Last night we loaded up the truck. We were a little nervous about how our stuff would fit in the 14 ft. truck we rented, but thanks to the experts that helped load it was all in their in about 45 minutes. While the men loaded, the ladies were busy inside helping with the final cleaning of the house. It is hard to believe that we are completely out of our home--our first home as a married couple.
Brian and my cousin, Ben, drove out at 5:30 this morning. The truck with one of our cars on a trailer and driving our second car. Thanks, Ben, for driving so that I don't have to! I will be flying out with Stefan tomorrow. Massachusetts, here we come!

Packing, Packing, and More Packing!

The last few days have been a whirlwind of packing. We are so thankful for friends and family who helped and made the packing go much more smoothly.
